Diving Skills and
Experience Required

We offer charters for divers of all levels of experience.

Group Charters

Our 'regular' charter service. On a group charter you dive with your buddy (we will help select appropriate buddy teams). A divemaster provides a thorough briefing and surface supervision. The sites we visit on group charters may be inappropriate for beginner divers due to depth, current, etc.

Required:

• Advanced diving techniques (navigation and deep diving),
• Cold water experience,
• 15 or more dives,
• Feel comfortable in the water.

Beginner Charters

Hornby has many dive sites that are safe and easy for new divers, or for divers that are new to cold water diving or salt water diving. On a beginner charter you dive with your buddy (we will help select appropriate buddy teams). A divemaster provides a thorough briefing and surface supervision.

Required:

• Basic Certification
  (PADI Open Water or equivalent).
• Feel comfortable in the water.

Instructional Charters

Hornby Island is a wonderful place to learn to dive or to learn new dive skills. On an instructional charter you dive with an instrutor or divemaster.

Required:

• Skills and experience required relate to the course you are participating in.
